The School of Jesus is our high school peer ministry opportunity. The goal is to form teens to live out the great commission and equip them to be sent out on mission here in the parish, in their schools, family, sports teams, and ultimately to the ends of the earth.
The high school youth ministryis a program for students in grades 9-12. It helps lead teens into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. It is a Catholic-centered, faith formation ministry for all high school teens. The goal of The Well is for each child to encounter Christ, make lasting friendships, and grow in the life of the Church.
One of the most important characteristics of our program is our adult volunteers who assist as mentors for our teens. The Core Team is made up of volunteer adult role models who lead small community groups, teach, and listen to teens. These team members focus on relational ministry or building relationships with the teens. Our primary objective is to encourage teens to realize a deeper relationship with Christ and to challenge them to live their faith as they carry out their daily lives.
For over 20 years St. Vincent’s Youth Ministry has been leading high school aged teens closer to Jesus Christ through His Church.
Our heavenly Father has truly blessed us by calling so many former High School participants to courageously embrace their respective vocations. We have seen more than 10 Diocesan Priests, 15 Seminarians, 5 Consecrated Religious and countless faithful married.
Ultimately, this ministry shares in the universal mission of the Church to form saints, and in the particular mission of St. Vincent’s, to form our kids into Saints!
