BAPTISM

Baptism is the first of the seven sacraments. It brings a person into the family of God, fills them with the Holy Spirit, and washes away any sins.

We baptize following the command of Christ: "Go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. " - Matthew 28:19
- INFANT BAPTISM
  
  Baptisms for those under age 7 fall into the category of "Infant Baptism."
- This is my first time having a child baptized at St. Vincent's
- I have previously had a child baptized at St. Vincent's
- ADULT BAPTISM
  
  Adult baptism takes place through a preparation process called RCIA. Preparation typically runs from August through May.

- OLDER CHILD BAPTISM
  
  Children ages 7 and older are prepared for Baptism through an adapted form of the RCIA ("RCIA Adapted for Children")
