Prayer Ministries

Eucharistic Adoration

Volunteer to spend time in prayer on Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm and Sundays from noon to 5:00 pm in our Blessed Sacrament Chapel (or the church) while the Blessed Sacrament is exposed.  During the school year, Adoration on Wednesday will be cancelled if school is cancelled due to inclement weather.  Two-hour delays will not affect Wednesday adoration.

Little Children's Eucharistic Adoration is an opportunity for parents to spend time in prayer with their small children in the Spiritual Center Chapel while the Blessed Sacrament is exposed.  Children's adoration is held the first and third Thursday of the month during the school year and monthly during the summer school break (see the current bulletin for more information).  During the school year, if school is cancelled or there is a two-hour delay due to inclement weather, this adoration will be cancelled.

Holy League (men) and Mercy Club (school students) also hold adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (see the current bulletin for more information).

Intercessory Prayer Group

The Intercessory Prayer Group meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday from 7:00–8:00 pm in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel to pray specifically for the needs of the parish as well as the individual needs mentioned in the prayer intention booklet.  All are welcome!  This ministry is Ideal if you have the charism of Intercessory Prayer.

Prayer Line

The Prayer Line is organized for the purpose of praying for any person needing help.  Requests are made to the co-leaders, who in turn pass on the prayer request to members via e-mail or by phone.  Names need not be provided.  Over 145 parishioners are members of the Prayer Line.  Click <here> for more information.  Ideal ministry if you have the charisms of Intercessory Prayer, Healing or Discernment of Spirits.

Rosary

Parishioners pray the rosary before each of the weekday Masses.
The rosary is also prayed at 10:00 am on the first Saturday of the month in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.

Seven Sisters Apostolate

Seven Sisters Apostolate is a group of at least seven (7) women who commit to praying for one priest, for one hour, one day a week, for one year before the Blessed Sacrament.  “By strengthening the priest, you strengthen the whole foundation, you strengthen everything in the Church.”  - Fr. Gerald Fitzgerald, S.P.  Please call the Parish Office (260-489-3537 ext. 3) if you are interested in Seven Sisters Apostolate.  This ministry is Ideal if you have the charisms of Intercessory Prayer and Faith.

Shepherds of Christ

The Shepherds of Christ gather once a week to pray for our priests as well as all persons considering their vocation to priesthood, religious life, single or married state.  A manual that consists of prayers such as the rosary, litanies and consecration prayers to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary is used regularly.  The usual meeting time is Tuesday at 4:30 pm before the Blessed Sacrament in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.  Ideal ministry if you have the charisms of Intercessory Prayer, Encouragement, Faith, Healing, Helps and Discernment of Spirits.

Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius

The Exercises are an in-depth spiritual formation program designed for those who have already been invested in their spiritual growth and now desire to grow deeper in their prayer life and personal discernment.  The retreat has 14-week and 35-week formats which are “closed” groups, meaning participants begin and complete the entire program and others cannot join until the next retreat is offered.  Retreatants commit to daily prayer and journaling with scripture and the retreat materials at home as well as participation in a weekly group session.  Ideal ministry if you have the charisms of Discernment of Spirits, Intercessory Prayer, Encouragement, Leadership, Wisdom and Service.
