Nights for Family Community
Night of Light is an important part of our Religious Education (REfuel) program. We meet once a month with our students and their parents. It is an important time in which we come together with our community of families, learn about our faith in a systematic and inspiring way from knowledgeable speakers, and grow in prayer and love for Jesus and His Church.
These parent/student nights focus on particuluar topics. Throughout 7th and 8th grade, students journey through three major questions:
These nights provide the opportunity to hear a variety of speakers well-versed in each particular topic as well as an opportunity for good conversation starters for parents and students.
NoL is just one component of REfuel. Visit the other pages to learn more.
“Seeking”
Summary: Father Brian helped to lead us through our first Night of Light! He talked to us about desires, and how only God alone fulfills the ultimate desire of our hearts. He also led us through our prayer experience for the evening, helping us learn how to hear the voice of God in our lives.

“Reasons”
Summary: We welcomed Abby Lyon as our guest speaker this month to inspire us to understand how to use Scripture in our lives more effectively. She taught us about faith and reason, and how these always work well together to help us know God better, our God who wants to be known! She left us with the challenge of reading Scripture every day for a week and reflecting at the end of the week on how God revealed Himeself to us through Scripture.

REfuel Attendance Policy
We understand that conflicts may arise; however, attendance is an important requirement. Your child is allowed to miss the following amounts of meetings.
After they have missed that many, you will be sent make-up homework for them to complete. It is highly recommended that you make attendance a priority for your child's religious education.
If your child will be missing at any time, please inform us at middleschoolministry@saintv.org.
One of us will contact you if any make-up work to complete.
